| Saturday |
A nice Saturday afternoon at the Audubon
Aquarium of the Americas. Pictures to come...
This was followed by dinner in the French
Quarter. |
Sunday |
The day started with a river cruise to the New Orleans Audubon Zoological
Gardens. Most of the day was spent at the zoo. |
 |
 |
| Standing in line for the board ride was just
loads of fun. |
A quick group picture before the Elephant
show. |
 |
| Just sitting around at the zoo. |
|
After a short swim at the hotel, we boarded the Creole Queen for a two
hour dinner cruise up and down the Mississippi River. |
 |
 |
| The line continued to grow and we didn't
think we would make it
on the boat. |
The biggest paddleboat at this dock!
(the only one) |
 |
| The kid's table..... |
 |
 |
| The adult's table... |
The adult's are too big to get into one picture. |
 |
| On the top deck after dinner! |
|
Monday |
Late to bed and early to rise, makes for
a great swamp Airboat ride! |
 |
 |
| An early morning airboat ride through the
Louisiana swamps does the
trick. |
The biggest Airboat I've ever seen. It had
two fans in the rear, over
450 horsepower
engines... |
 |
 |
| Alligator hunting (with our eyes). Look in the center of the picture. |
Cypress trees with Spanish Moss
What a beautiful sight! |
|
Lunch was at the "Court of Two Sisters".
This was a buffet lunch that cannot be beat. |
This was the end of the 2001 89 Babies Club
adventure in New Orleans. Most went their
separate ways. Some stayed in the French
Quarter to shop, while others went back to
the Riverwalk Center to shop. Most everyone
was on the road by sundown. |
What's next year's adventure... |
